alligatorSports Podcast 04-30-13

On an "End of Gregulation" edition of the alligatorSports Podcast, host Greg Luca is joined by alligatorSports writers Joe Morgan, Phil Heilman and Landon Watnick to talk Gators football and basketball. The guys open by discussing the hiring of special teams coordinator Jeff Choate and the transfer of guard Jessamen Dunker. From there the conversation moves to the NFL Draft, during which eight Gators were selected and another six signed as undrafted free agents. The topic then spontaneously shifts to Tim Tebow's release and what his next move may be. Next up is the UF hoops segment, during which the guys discuss incoming transfer Eli Carter and project a starting five for the 2013-14 season. Finally, the show wraps up with a little bit of reflection as Luca signs off for one last time.

alligatorSports Podcast 04-07-13

On a "Markevious Bingo" edition of the alligatorSports Podcast, host Greg Luca is joined by a throng of alligatorSports writers to talk Gators football, baseball and men's and women's basketball. Spring football is up first, as Joe Morgan, Adam Pincus and Phil Heilman discuss the spring's hottest stories and take a position-by-position look ahead to the 2013 season. Pincus then takes center stage to break down UF baseball's slow start and outline the keys to getting back on the top of the Southeastern Conference. Heilman leads the way in a discussion of the women's basketball team's run to the WNIT Final Four, and then Landon Watnick jumps on to put the 2012-13 Gators basketball season to bed. The guys analyze UF's loss in the Elite Eight and remember Florida's departed seniors. This show runs more than 90 minutes, so it'd probably be best to take it in small doses.
